This build is up to date for the September 23, 2025 patch.
Overview
The Crucifix is one of the highest-APM and most complex classes in Throne and Liberty, demanding constant button presses and quick decision-making due to its short ability cooldowns. It’s a challenging pick, even for veteran players, and suits those who enjoy a more intensive playstyle. While it shares some similarities with the Scorpion class, Crucifix offers a fresh twist on the tried-and-true crossbow DPS archetype.

Wisdom
With the unique stats and attributes system in Throne and Liberty, it can be difficult to determine exactly where to invest your attribute points at each stage of the game. This is because gear pieces provide attributes just like leveling up does, meaning everyone will have a different number of attribute points depending on what gear they are wearing at the time.
Given this variation, it's best to reset your attributes regularly to adjust to the new gear you acquire. Aim to reach the achievement effects, which provide extra benefits at milestones like 30, 50, and 70 points.
Prioritize Dexterity and Perception for maximum DPS, as they boost your damage the most. Add a bit of Wisdom for mana regeneration if needed, but keep damage as your main focus. Lastly, invest at least 30 points into Strength for a reliable health boost.
Skills
The Crucifix draws its strength from low-cooldown abilities such as
Quick Fire, paired with
Nimble Leap, which boosts mobility while also resetting cooldowns. On top of that,
Stellar Dash provides fast, high AOE damage, making it excellent for area denial and sustained pressure.
Crossbow and Orb passives complement each other perfectly.
Stellar Echo adds bonus damage by launching projectiles from both you and nearby orbs as you cast abilities. This synergy is amplified by
Rift Fracture, which thrives on the Crucifix’s high crit frequency during short rotations. Crossbow passives like
Eagle Vision and
Ambidexterity further enhance this by boosting critical potential and overall damage output.

You should be aiming to reach and unlock masteries (the corner nodes) as soon as possible as they usually make the largest impact in the build. While minor nodes shouldn't be forgotten, make sure to unlock masteries as fast as possible before spreading out and spending into less important nodes.

Rotations
- Start by buffing yourself with

Distortion Veil,
Summon Satellite (on a party member), and
Mother Nature's Protest, then activate
Selfless Diffusion.
- Begin your damage setup with

Mortal Mark into
Quick Fire, then use
Starcalling to place orbs. Continue casting
Starcalling until you have 3 orbs down, weaving in
Quick Fire whenever it comes off cooldown. Once the orbs are set, spam
Stellar Dash and
Quick Fire together on cooldown for high burst.
- Next, drop

Summon Constellation on top of your target, then follow with
Void Slash. Keep rotating
Quick Fire,
Stellar Dash, and
Void Slash while maintaining
Mortal Mark. Always keep
Distortion Veil and
Summon Satellite (on a DPS) active for maximum pressure. Once
Selfless Diffusion and your other cooldowns are back, use
Temporal Leap to reset and start again.
- The rotation is fast-paced and APM-heavy, requiring quick reactions as skills come off cooldown. You can and WILL have to freestyle this rotation a lot.
Useful Information
- Select Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it provides essential protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only aids in mitigating damage but also increases your cooldown speed in order to let you heal more often. However, you can also use Shade Revenant Stheno or Geen Ranger Elowen if you are looking to deal extra damage or root enemies if you are in a party that has to burst down enemies quickly or lock down groups.
