Overview
Power Chronomancer is a powerful solo build with great boon uptime and damage. It has access to plentiful utility, including invulnerability, blocks and teleports, making it a great solo build. This build has a high skill floor, which can be off-putting for some, but investing time into learning it can be very rewarding as its potential is some of the highest in the game.
This build revolves around spamming Phantasm skills to both do damage and gain boons. Namely, permanent Fury,
Quickness and 25~
Might, with 0 boon duration, thanks to the
Illusions trait line. The Chronomancer trait line also provides permanent self-
Alacrity.
Additionally, this build can sacrifice some of its damage to provide its party with permanent Quickness from or permanent
Alacrity from by making little changes.

Weapon Variants
- If you don't have access to dagger with Weaponmaster Training from Secrets of the Obscure, use mainhand
sword instead.
- If you don't have access to land spear with Janthir Wilds, use focus or greatsword.
Alternative weapons:
Mainhand sword - for players without access to dagger. It deals slightly less damage and is melee, but it has a helpful evade.
Greatsword - good ranged damage and tagging potential, but it requires to truly shine, and this build does not run that traitline by default.
Focus - good damage, extremely helpful pull with and the phantasm blocks projectiles.

We default to
for its ability to reset the recharge of phantasm skills, making it an integral part of this build. In extremely rare situations, another option can be considered:- - in extremely rare situations where you'd like to trade damage and boon generation for extra healing or condition cleanse, use Ether Feast.
Utility skill

good AoE damage and soft cc, can be replaced if needed.

If you want or need to run other skills, here are some suggestions:

Superspeed, but the
Slow of Delayed Reactions can help a lot with breaking defiance bars.

Domination can be taken over Illusions if you are playing in a group providing you permanent Quickness and

Boon support

When playing in groups, you can drop Quickness. If the group already has quickness, you can instead provide
Alacrity through . Quickness always takes priority over alacrity.
When doing this, make the following changes.
- Replace the
Illusions traitline with

Spear. On the other weapon set either use dagger-sword for damage, or dagger-focus for the pull of .

Feel free to change Mantra of Pain to whatever other skill you might need, like a stun break.

Do not play these boon support builds when soloing, the strength of these boon support builds comes from providing your party with either quickness or alacrity. However, when playing solo, you already have permanent self-quickness from the Illusions traitline, and giving only yourself alacrity is never worth losing the extremely strong
.

If you are gearing this character from zero, start with exotic quality gear. Search the trading post for "Zhed" armor, "Uzoku" dagger, "Bonetti" sword, "Impaler" spear, and "Ebonblade" greatsword. Upgrade to ascended gear as you progress. See also: Guide:How to Gear a Character.
- We default to the same gear set as power virtuoso for ease of gearing. If you want to min max your chronomancer damage for open world, you can replace the Superior Sigil of Accuracy with
Berserker gear. Suplement with any food that provides 70 precision.

Usage
Continuum Split
is the profession mechanic of the chronomancer specialization that allows them to "rewind" time. Specifically, it tracks the chronomancer's position, health, endurance, and skill recharges, and returns the chronomancer to that point at the end of the split. As this is a Shatter, it will consume active clones, with the duration of the split increasing with each clone shattered.
This extremely powerful skill is used to spam your Phantasms four times in a row.
- Generate 2 or 3 clones.
- Cast your phantasm skills while entering .
- Reset your Phantasm skills with .
- Cast your Phantasm skills again.
- Continuum Split ends.
- Cast your Phantasm skills.

Note that your phantasms will attack a second time thanks to

The majority of your damage comes from casting your phantasms then using Clarity.
Try to always hit your target with the outer edge of
to deal more damage, and always cast empowered by Clarity. When you swap to dagger, is the first skill you want to cast, and you will cast it a second time before going back to spear. Use off cooldown when every other important skill is on cooldown. You can use for damage once every important skill is on cooldown, or you can save it in case you will need the crowd control.- Opener
To get the most out of
, try to follow this opening when fighting durable enemies like meta event bosses. You want to enter Continuum Split during the aftercast of , before it goes on cooldown but has already created a clone. The timing for this is tight, but it is worth practicing it.weapon swap
