Galeshot - Power Galeshot
The community gave this build a rating, making it second-tier: Good
Focused on: Strike damage
Designed for: Open World and Open World General
Overview
Galeshot build for open world. to overwhelm your enemies with all your projectiles, dealing respectable damage even at range, while providing yourself and nearby allies with permanent
Quickness.
As a downside, this build struggles against enemies that can block or reflect projectiles, and requires frequent weapon swapping between your 2 basic weapons and the Cyclone Bow.

Weapon Variants
Dual Maces - maces can replace axes to trade damage for more resilience through barrier, stability, healing, and more crowd control. Requires Expanded Weapon Proficiency from Secrets of the Obscure.
Skill Variants
Heal skill
We default to for its good healing, low cooldown, and boon extension. If needed, it can be replaced by:
- - slightly higher cooldown but it cleanses 2 conditions and recovers 1 arrow.
Utility skill
We default to:
because it deals good damage
because it increases your projectile damage, and galeshots fire lots of projectiles.

If you want or need to run other skills, here are some suggestions:
- - extra AoE damage and cc.
- - extra AoE damage.
- - AoE stunbreak and personal barrier.
- - passive damage. Never activate it.
- - in condition heavy fights to cleanse conditions, but be ready to swap pets if its health gets too low.
Elite skill
We default to for its great damage and crowd control. On very rare situations, it can be replaced by:
- - sacrifices your damage for an AoE revive.
Pet variants
The suggested
Cheetah is a feline, a family of pets that deal good damage. Its beast skill, helps with

Smokescale,
Rock Gazelle,
Boar, any canine such as
Alpine Wolf.
- Good on-demand crowd control
- Tanky pets
- Drakes such as
Marsh Drake provide the best mix of damage and tankiness, but bears, porcines, and devourers are also very tanky pets.

Usage
is the profession mechanic of the galeshot. It replaces your current weapon with a wind bow. The bow starts with 8 arrows which replenish over time. Using Squall skills (the galeshot heal, utility, and elite skills) also replenishes arrows.
Casting bow skills 2 to 5 consumes arrows. After consuming 5 arrows, replaces skill 1. However, if you leave the Cyclone Bow, your stacks of consumed arrows are lost.
Due to the trait , the cooldown of (skill 2) is reset when using (skill 4) or (skill 5).
Damage
- Gain
Quickness by using and thanks to the trait . - To effectively use Cyclone Bow, you want to enter, cast your skills to generate 5 Wind Force, cast and leave. One way to do that is to enter the bow, use , , , and .
- If Supersonic Arrow is on cooldown, replace it with and auto attack until you can cast again and finish with .
- Remember that your stacks of Wind Force are lost when you stow the bow.
- Be careful with the cast time of , do not interrupt it.
- Use before unleashing your projectile burst to deal higher damage.
- Maintain
Swiftness or
Superspeed to activate . You can easily gain switness from and , which also activates when swapping to/from the Cyclone Bow. - Crowd control recovers 1 arrow thanks to . Squall skills, such as also recover one arrow.
Axe/Axe
- Use all your axe skills for damage.
- Use in melee range to hit your target with all axes and deal more damage.
- deals massive damage but has a long casting time, but you should have permanent quickness from .
Longbow
- Longbow works great for starting fights with Barrage and Rapid Fire, but has less sustained damage. It also works great with .
- activates for boons. However, do not use Point-Black Shot to push enemies away from your allies. This is not a concern against enemies with a defiance bar.
Defense
- Always keep moving. Move out of dangerous attacks or dodge them.
- evades during its cast.
