Thundercry Blade & Soulshade Umbrella PvE Build
- Very Tanky
- Healing Skills
- Easy to Play
- Boring to play
- Slow
Overview
Using
Thundercry Blade with
Soulshade Umbrella creates one of the tankiest builds of the game that is perfect for both solo play in the open world or as a tank in group PVE content against bosses. While the gameplay of this combo is very slow, the damage is still potent enough to clear all content in Where Winds Meet without issues, giving you plenty of time to fight challenging bosses that might otherwise be too difficult for other builds.
Martial Arts
Inner Way
Exquisite Scenery is a must have as it buffs
Thundercry Blade by giving some much-needed extra speed, letting you deal damage without needing to fully charge attacks as often.
Morale Chant is one of the best Inner Ways for adding both damage and healing, easy to keep stacked up as
Echoes of a Thousand Plants constantly healing you.
Adaptive Steel boosts the crit damage of your Charged Skills like
Avalanche and
Galecloud Cleave, while
Battle Anthem adds even more damage!
Mystic Skills
Leaping Toad is a good damaging Mystic Skill that deals good damage quickly but can also be used 2 more times to truly burst down targets and also apply an exploding poison effect.
Wolflike Frenzy is a great skill for some extra damage whenever you have an opening on a boss, keep in mind that the first hit also knocks down enemies.
Dragon's Breath is a fantastic DoT damage skill that also does good initial damage and becomes and instant casted skill after using it the first time and receiving the Intoxicated buff.
Ghost Bind is a good setup skill, using it to CC enemies so you can follow up with other attacks like the
Dragon's Breath.
Rotations
- The rotation is very easy as it mostly makes use of the
Thundercry Blade. Begin by activating
Echoes of a Thousand Plants on yourself so you can get constantly passively healed while fighting. Then, swap to the
Thundercry Blade with
Dual-Weapon Skill. Use
Predator's Shield to protect yourself from damage and channel
Sunrush Gale into a
Galecloud Cleave. Then, continue with
Avalanche to deal even more damage. Repeat this until your
Echoes of a Thousand Plants expires, then switch to it and re-apply it before returning to the main rotation.
