Thundercry Blade & Heavenquaker Spear PvP Build
- High AOE damage
- Very Tanky
- Good Sustain
- Slow
- High Skill Ceiling
Overview
One of the best choices for someone looking to play a Bruiser type character in Where Winds Meet. The
Heavenquaker Spear combines its high AOE pressure with the AOE and shielding of
Thundercry Blade, complimenting eachother well in all PVP scenarios. While this combo can be kited out often enough in 1vs1 PVP, a skilled player will be able to bait enemies into a fight up close where both the
Heavenquaker Spear and
Thundercry Blade reign kings.
Martial Arts
Inner Way
Morale Chant remains one of the top choices for both PvP and PvE alike, taking this remains important even with the slow attacks of the
Thundercry Blade as the
Sober Sorrow can still activate it quite easily. As far as defense goes,
Exquisite Scenery is a strong choice that offers quicker attacks instead of having to charge up as much as without it.
Adaptive Steel and
Battle Anthem boosts Charged Attack damage (against players too once upgraded), helping you deal even more of it once you've caught enemies close.
Mystic Skills
Use
Serene Breeze is one of the top choices for PVP as its the perfect stun break in Where Winds Meet, helping you stay alive and out of combos.
Talon Strike &
Soaring Spin are two other must-haves as the
Talon Strike knock-down can be very powerful while
Soaring Spin lowers healing received, the perfect choice for many PVP builds where you need to deal with healers.
Dragon's Breath is great for both defense and offense as it deals good damage and can also be used defensively to get players off you, providing a defense buff that is much needed to win trades.
Golden Body is a good panic button you can use alongside
Predator's Shield.
Rotations
- Start by using
Predator's Shield to buff yourself and use the shield as an enemy comes closer. Follow up with
Sunrush Gale to pull the enemy close to you and deal damage before using
Free Morph to deal high damage once the enemy is on the ground, continuing the rotation before transitioning into
Soaring Spin if they try to move away. If they make the mistake of fighting back, you should channel a
Galecloud Cleave into them, winning the trade thanks to the CC immunity. You can then make use of
Dragon's Breath to deny a counter attack and reset the fight.
