- Buffs Reliant
- High Skill Ceiling
- Stationary
- No Utility
Overview
This build uses the
Mortal Rope Dart and the
Strategic Sword to deal high damage and perform very well in group boss fights, solo exploration or any other content in Where Winds Meet, it relies on buffs and while it isn't the easiest class to play for new players, this build is a great choice for those looking to start playing a combination that they can master without getting boring at any point.
Martial Arts
Inner Way
Sword Horizon is a key part of this build because it adds extra moves to
Strategic Sword, letting you build more bleed stacks and deal higher damage. This makes it essential, as both
Inner Balance Strike III and
Inner Track Slash get longer combos without needing new button inputs.
Morale Chant is one of the strongest PVE Inner Ways in Where Winds Meet and is a core pick for most builds, so you should never skip it.
Insightful Strike gives extra Affinity Damage and can also reduce the damage you take.
With
Vendetta, your
Bladebound Thread applies a longer-lasting Vendetta Token, allowing your rat to deal boosted damage for a longer time.
Mystic Skills
Dragon's Breath is one of the core skills of the game as it does good DOT damage and can be refreshed often throughout a fight. Use Deflect to get out of the animation early once you've applied the burning DOT.
Ghost Bind is a good skill for AOE CCing mobs, grouping them so you can follow up with skills like
Flaming Meteor, doing good damage even if not too quickly.
Wolflike Frenzy &
Free Morph are two strong skills that work well as follow up, with
Wolflike Frenzy knocking down enemies with its first hit while
Free Morph knocks them into the air.
Rotations
- This is one of the two rotations you can do to deal damage, and this one is the easiest of the two. Begin with
Dragon's Breath before using
Rodent Rampage to buff up and get the rat out. Then, use
Bladebound Thread and Light Attacks until the rat goes away or your
Dragon's Breath expires, at which point you should re-apply it and reset the rotation.
- While this rotation isn’t very complicated, it becomes much stronger once you unlock and use
Sword Horizon. Start by using
Dragon's Breath to stack fire on the target. Then go straight into a full
Inner Track Slash combo, followed by
Inner Balance Strike III to extend the sequence even further.
