Heavenquaker Spear & Vernal Umbrella PvE Build
- Great Range
- Good AOE DPS
- Great CC
- No Self-healing
- High Skill Floor & Ceiling
Overview
This build uses the high AOE damage provided by
Heavenquaker Spear with the medium range damage done by the
Vernal Umbrella while also making use of the CC provided along. This is the perfect build for someone looking to mix close ranged combat with the ability to deal damage from range. While it takes a bit of time to get used to, it can be very satisfying to play once you've gotten the hang of it.
Martial Arts
Inner Way
Morale Chant is a great pick for boosting DPS since every hit has a chance to increase your damage, and it’s one of the strongest damage Inner Ways in the game. Add
Vital Leech for steady self-healing during fights, as the heal you get on execution is very helpful, especially while exploring the open world.
Adaptive Steel is another solid all-round option and works especially well with the
Heavenquaker Spear since it lets your skills ignore enemy armor. And of course,
Wolfchaser's Art helps you get the buff from
Sober Sorrow more easily.
Mystic Skills
The perfect CC skill for the build remains
Ghost Bind as it lets you setup a group of mobs for your combo of
Sober Sorrow &
Sweep All.
Wolflike Frenzy,
Free Morph and
Drunken Poet are fantastic skills for dealing damage quickly when dealing with a single target while also being very satisfying to use.
Guardian Palm can be used to burst down enemies with its high damage while
Tai Chi is great for CCing enemies.
Rotations
- Begin the rotation by using
Spring Sorrow to stun an enemy before following up with a full channel of
Spring Away to deal high damage while building up your Blossom stacks so you can use
Unfading Flower. Use that to summon your umbrella at your side before continuing with the swap to the
Heavenquaker Spear with
Dual-Weapon Skill. Continue the rotation with
Sweep All and
Sober Sorrow to get enemies low enough for you to finish them off using
Flaming Meteor.
- Start by stunning an enemy with
Spring Sorrow then use
Free Morph to deal damage before following up with
Talon Strike and
Guardian Palm.
- Begin in
Vernal Umbrella then use
Ghost Bind to freeze enemies together. Swap to
Heavenquaker Spear using
Dual-Weapon Skill to buff yourself and carry on with
Sweep All to debuff enemies so your next
Sober Sorrow deals more damage.
