Heavenquaker Spear & Inkwell Fan PvE Build
- Good AOE DPS
- Great Defenses
- Great CC
- No Self-healing
- Low-ish DPS
- High APM
Overview
This build combines the CC potential of the Fan with the AOE damage the
Heavenquaker Spear is more than capable of. This build is great for those looking to combine both melee and medium ranged attacks while being able to control fights with
Jadewind Shield, letting you deal with mobs one at a time or simply giving you enough time to heal.
Peak's Springless Silence is another very strong skill for CCing enemies as it knocks enemies into the air but can also combo very well with
Yaksha Rush.
Inkwell Fan's
Forsaken Fame is another incredible CC skill that knocks enemies up into the air and allows you to combo further.
Martial Arts
Inner Way
Morale Chant is a strong choice for boosting DPS because every hit can raise your damage, and it’s one of the best damage Inner Ways in the game. Adding
Vital Leech gives you steady healing during fights, since the execution heal is very useful, especially in open-world exploration.
Adaptive Steel is another reliable option and works great with the
Heavenquaker Spear because it makes your skills ignore enemy armor. And lastly,
Star Reacher is an ideal pick for increasing Airborne Damage, fitting smoothly into the build.
Mystic Skills
Ghost Bind is the best CC skill for this build because it lets you group enemies together so you can easily use your
Sober Sorrow &
Sweep All combo.
Wolflike Frenzy,
Free Morph, and
Drunken Poet are great single-target damage skills and feel very satisfying to use with
Drunken Poet being an ability you can use on its own with how much damage it can do if recasted.
Yaksha Rush &
Free Morph are your main tools for knocking enemies into the air so you can follow up with
Peak's Springless Silence or any airborne attack once they’re lifted.
Naturally,
Yaksha Rush is a core part of the build since it helps you keep enemies airborne, and
Celestial Seize is very strong in certain fights, especially against bosses that can be disarmed by it. Use it on enemies with large weapons, as bigger weapons mean more bonus damage for you.
Rotations
- Start with
Free Morph to deal damage and also knock an enemy into the air before continuing with
Moon Shatter Spring while the enemy is still in the air, keeping the enemy locked there before using
Wolflike Frenzy to deal damage before transitioning into
Talon Strike to knock them down. Pop the enemy back into the air using
Peak's Springless Silence then use
Moon Shatter Spring again to juggle the enemy in the air.
Peak's Springless Silence can then be reused to teleport to your clone so you can use Light Attacks from range.
Free Morph can be swapped for
Yaksha Rush or you can use your
Forsaken Fame to knock enemies up if you have the chance to charge it.
- Begin with
Vernal Umbrella, then use
Ghost Bind to freeze enemies in place. Swap to
Heavenquaker Spear with
Dual-Weapon Skill to buff yourself, then use
Sweep All to debuff enemies so your next
Sober Sorrow hits harder.
