Overview

This Crossbow & Staff PvE build that prioritizes high sustained DPS is capable of achieving one of the highest sustained DPS in the game. Although the crossbow is notorious for its high mana consumption because of its low cooldowns, the staff effectively mitigates this issue, enabling you to maintain DPS for prolonged periods during boss fights. With this setup, you'll effortlessly burn down bosses in dungeons, farm mobs in open world or any other PVE encounter!

With the unique stats and attributes system in Throne and Liberty, it can be difficult to determine exactly where to invest your attribute points at each stage of the game. This is because gear pieces provide attributes just like leveling up does, meaning everyone will have a different number of attribute points depending on what gear they are wearing at the time.
Given this variation, it's best to reset your attributes regularly to adjust to the new gear you acquire. Aim to reach the achievement effects, which provide extra benefits at milestones like 30, 50, and 70 points.

In order to maximizing your damage potential, invest most points into Dexterity and Perception, aiming to push them first as they offer much needed hit rate and critical hit rate. As both the Crossbows and Longbow are mainly DPS weapons, there is no need for Wisdom, especially not for PVE content but strength can still offer good extra damage increase and a bit of HP that can help with certain encounters.

Start by upgrading Quick FireUsed frame.webpQuick Fire and Mortal MarkUsed frame.webpMortal Mark to enhance your damage potential, as these abilities play a significant role in your damage output. Quick FireUsed frame.webpQuick Fire remains your main damaging ability due to it's low cooldown, while Mortal MarkUsed frame.webpMortal Mark amplifies your damage capabilities as it debuffs targets. Chain LightningUsed frame.webpChain Lightning and Inferno WaveUsed frame.webpInferno Wave are your filler abilities but they are still very capable of delivering good damage but they shouldn't be prioritized over the rest.

Inner PeaceUsed frame.webpInner Peace is the last ability you want to upgrade but it's still a worthwhile upgrade as it considerably lowers the cooldown of the ability and alongside Mana ExchangeUsed frame.webpMana Exchange removes your mana issues entirely if used correctly.

As far as passives go, AmbidexterityActive frame.webpAmbidexterity and Eagle VisionActive frame.webpEagle Vision provide respectable damage bonuses. Meanwhile, upgrading AsceticismActive frame.webpAsceticism will not only improve your mana regeneration and help with the mana hunger but also grant you extra ranged heavy attack chance when you stand still during boss fights. Mana AmpActive frame.webpMana Amp offers you extra HP that can often save you from boss mechanics while OpportunistActive frame.webpOpportunist helps you by decreasing your skill cooldowns and pairs well with High LocusActive frame.webpHigh Locus. Because bosses normally always have some sort of Weaken debuff, this passive will be in use at all times!

  • Begin your rotation by activating High LocusUsed frame.webpHigh Locus to reduce the cooldown time of all your abilities. Follow up with Weak Point ShotUsed frame.webpWeak Point Shot to debuff the target, increasing critical damage for both you and your party members. Then, buff yourself with Thorn GaleUsed frame.webpThorn Gale and use Quick FireUsed frame.webpQuick Fire. Transition smoothly into a buffed version of Merciless BarrageUsed frame.webpMerciless Barrage, empowered by Thorn GaleUsed frame.webpThorn Gale. Follow with another Quick FireUsed frame.webpQuick Fire before transitioning to your staff skills, starting with Inferno WaveUsed frame.webpInferno Wave to apply the burn debuff. This not only increases Chain LightningUsed frame.webpChain Lightning damage but also offers a chance for Judgment LightningUsed frame.webpJudgment Lightning to be cast again. Utilize Mana ExchangeUsed frame.webpMana Exchange and Inner PeaceUsed frame.webpInner Peace to restore lost mana before resuming your DPS.

Selfless DiffusionUsed frame.webpSelfless Diffusion: This remains your sole defensive active ability, ideal for situations where you get immobilized by boss mechanics. It can also be used for it's offensive extra off-hand weapon attack chance whenever you are fighting an enemy that cannot bind you.

AsceticismActive frame.webpAsceticism: Because of this passive increasing your mana regen and also improving your heavy attack chance, you want to remain stationary as much as possible and not move around the boss if you don't have to!

Useful Information

  • Select Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it provides essential protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only aids in mitigating damage but also increases your cooldown speed in order to let you heal more often.
