Skystrider Bow PvP Build
Strengths
- Great DPS
- Versatile
- Great Mobility
Weaknesses
- High Skill Ceiling
- Squishy
- Expensive to Play
Overview
This PvP build focuses on the amazing Elder's Skystrider Bow and its unique ability to go up in the air and avoid damage entirely while dealing high burst damage through the use of
Sky's Fury. This helps eliminate enemies quickly while remaining safe from enemy damage. While the build is good even for new players as its a straightforward weapon to use, it does still have a high skill ceiling and performs best in the hands of an experienced player. This build performs great in all solo and small group content like Depths, Mists or even Corrupted dungeons and it can even be played during group content with small adjustments.
Equipment

Usage
Elder's Skystrider Bow
Multishot — This skill will let you do good damage while also slowing enemies. It is the top choice for DPS even though it requires you to be quite close to the target in comparison with
Poisoned Arrow or
Deadly Shot but its wide AOE makes it easier to land and deal damage. You should be using this off cooldown throughout the fight.
Frost Shot — Your main, and most important kiting ability, the
Frost Shot pushes you back back a good distance while doing damage and slowing down enemies. While the damage isn't the important part, the repositioning part of the skill is very important and allows you to keep dictating the range of the fight.
Feel free to also switch to Explosive Arrows for the extra damage if you are facing a healer as they have low mobility and this can be exploited with sustained damage from
Explosive Arrows, especially if you have a healer of your own or if you really need to kill the healer to win a fight.
Sky's Fury — One of the most unique abilities in Albion, this skill props the user into the air and makes them invulnerable, making it very useful for escaping. However, the most important part is the arrows you can shoot down to deal damage. You can recast this 3 times to deal AOE damage. Make sure to use this in the time window while you are up in the air. However! Keep in mind that once you cast
Sky's Fury a third time, you will be put back on the ground regardless of the duration left on the ability, making it important to use the 3rd hit as late as possible to maximize the invulnerability timer.
Piercing Arrows — Each auto-attack will decrease the defense stats of the enemies hit, increasing the damage you can do to them.
Elder's Assassin Jacket
Ambush — This ability grants you stealth, which can be used in multiple ways. Use it to safely disengage from bad fights or to set up a burst of damage as going into stealth will also briefly increases your damage for a short time as you come out of stealth.
Balanced Mind — This passive not only increases your damage output which makes it an obvious choice for this build.
Elder's Cowl of Purity
Avalonian Beam — The helmet skill shoots a large long beam that deals high burst damage, use this to finish off targets or just to add to the burst damage done by
Sky's Fury. You can also use this to poke enemies at range and wither them down before engaging.
Aggression — This passive increases your damage, another obvious choice.
Elder's Soldier Boots
Rejuvenating Sprint — While you can use any plate boots that have the
Rejuvenating Sprint skill,
Elder's Soldier Boots is a strong choice. They provide healing and are commonly used in various builds, making them a valuable investment that benefits multiple playstyles.
Toughness — This defensive option is best but you can also use
Courier if you need more weight, don't forget to change it off when you get in a fight though.
Elder's Undead Cape
Vanisher — When your HP falls below 15%, you automatically enter stealth. While in this state, you can still use your abilities, but your damage is reduced by 50%. Use this as a last resort to reposition or fully disengage, especially when combined with
Ambush.
Rotations

- Once you are down on the ground, use
Multishot to poke and start damaging your enemy before using
Frost Shot to kite away in case you need to move away from the target before taking damage.
Frost Shot can also be used offensively to chase after enemies by knocking yourself towards them as it is a very versatile skill. Once you have enemies close, use
Sky's Fury to deal damage from up in the air where you are invulnerable. Use the first 2 shots quickly and then you will be able to hold the third for a moment before using, maximizing the time spent in the air. Finish off targets with
Avalonian Beam if you didn't already use it while you kited the enemy.
Consumables
Major Healing Potion — The potion is great for healing yourself back out, either during the fight or after taking some damage. You can also consider a
Major Gigantify Potion as an alternative.
Pork Omelette — Reducing your cooldowns significantly improves your ability to kite and deal damage between auto-attacks. Aim to use at least the 7.1 one, as the price difference is minimal compared to the benefits it provides.
